Kenneth Mortensen, CIPP, CIPP/G, has joined Boston Scientific Corporation as its chief privacy officer. He will be responsible for implementing BSC’s global privacy framework, enhancing and incorporating privacy training into employee education, and minimizing privacy impacts.
Before joining BSC, Mortensen created the Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties during his time as chief privacy and civil liberties officer at the U.S. Department of Justice. He was the first deputy chief privacy officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and was a founding and managing partner of the law firm Harvey & Mortensen, where he practiced privacy and security law and information policy development.
