An appellate court last week denied a Pittsburgh couple's claim that that their privacy was violated when Google photographed their home and pool for its online mapping feature, MediaPost reports. The court said in its decision that people can only sue for invasion of privacy for actions "highly offensive to a reasonable person," the report states, and that "No person of ordinary sensibilities would be shamed, humiliated or have suffered mentally as a result of a vehicle entering into his or her ungated driveway and photographing the view from there." The court did not dismiss the couple's trespass claim.
