Germany is considering introducing legislation to place stricter limits on Google's Street View and similar mapping services, The Wall Street Journal reports. The announcement came after Google confirmed this week that it plans to introduce Street View in the country's largest cities by the end of this year, a move that has data protection regulators in the country voicing concerns about privacy. A spokesman for the German Interior Ministry said the federal government is exploring the possibility of strengthening existing rules, which could require new legislation.
