The Wall Street Journal reports on reactions to Facebook's new location feature, "Places," which range from concerns about privacy to nods to the company for improvement over past privacy-related issues. Among those who are still concerned about the feature, which allows users to share their physical location and that of friends who have not opted out of Places, is Ireland's Data Protection Commissioner, which has announced it will be monitoring its privacy implications. Facebook has defended the new feature, stating it consulted numerous privacy and safety groups before it went live, the report states.
