Following an investigation into a privacy breach involving popular applications on Facebook, social network MySpace and some of its apps have been found to be transmitting user information to outside advertising companies, The Wall Street Journal reports. Rapleaf, a company which compiles profiles of Internet users and was cited in the investigation as providing such information to advertisers, has stated it no longer passes such user information on to advertising networks due to privacy concerns. "The MySpace leaks appear to be more limited than those at Facebook, which has far more users and requires them to make public their name, gender and country," the report states.
