Yesterday, Sens. John Kerry (D-MA) and John McCain (R-AZ) introduced the "Commercial Privacy Bill of Rights Act of 2011" aimed at protecting consumers' personal information online. This Daily Dashboard exclusive features expert insights into the bill, which lays out a framework for online privacy including requirements for organizations to allow consumers to opt out of online behavioral advertising; gain consent in order to collect sensitive personal information, and give consumers access to and the ability to correct their information.
