At a conference in the UK last week, Google CEO Eric Schmidt said the company is trying to make its privacy policies easier to read and understand--especially those for mobile devices--but required legalese makes it difficult. While not committing to a specific plan, Schmidt said the company is working on a "series of simplification projects" for its policies and noted that one option "may be to have simple statements followed by 'legally required' text," reports The Wall Street Journal.
