USA Today reports on the likelihood that social networks and mobile apps could violate the privacy of the children and teens who use them. From a recent settlement of a Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act violation in the U.S. to calls by the UK's data protection authority for children to know their rights regarding online privacy, experts are calling for more education for youth who "exchange their personal data to Web services without knowing the possible consequences."
