The New York Times reports on the “acrimonious discussions” within the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) effort to work out a global Do-Not-Track standard and the difficult task facing newly appointed W3C Co-Chair Peter Swire, CIPP/US. “People can choose not to have telemarketers call them during dinner.
