The German Ethics Council is using its annual conference “to finally work out where it stands” on such issues as the use of big data and the collection of information via wearables, Deutsche Welle reports. “Life-logging,” the trend of tracking fitness and health information, has sparked a debate over whether data is ever truly anonymous. “You might be able to recognize people with the more data you collect," said Science Europe’s Bonnie Wolff-Boenisch.
