According to security pundits, the breach offers ample evidence of authentication weaknesses prevalent today and also shows how interconnected unrelated data breaches can really be.” Meanwhile, The Tech Portal reports on a breach in India affecting 10 million Gaana.com users, and The Register reports that following a breach lawsuit, Cottage Healthcare System’s insurer “argues that it is not liable for the payout because Cottage did not provide adequate security for its documents, a clause the California hospital network agreed to when it signed the insurance policy.”
