As security company FireEye continues to grow in renown and demand, CEO David DeWalt expresses a desire to work “hand-in-hand with government investigators,” USAToday reports. "We want to become an extension of the government. We can be a little more neutral globally as a public company, we can be a little more able to disclose," DeWalt said. With high-profile clients such as Sony, Penn State and Target, that goal might not be too far out of reach, the report suggests, noting “few have done as good a job as FireEye of getting their names in the news when something bad happens.” This comes on the heels of the corporation’s detection of health insurance company CareFirst’s now-confirmed breach affecting 1.1 million members in June 2014.
