The IAPP Events Team announced Wednesday that the Global Privacy Summit, happening March 5 to 7 in Washington, DC, is officially sold out. While there will be very limited registrations available on site thanks to cancellations that inevitably occur, online preregistration is now closed. UPDATE: Now, even on-site registration is completely out of the question. Summit is sold out, completely.

Were you procrastinating? Sorry about that. However, we have a couple of pieces of good news.

First, we have created this year a special Show Daily e-mail newsletter that will be sent to all registrants of the Summit. If you’d like to sign up for that and keep abreast of all the latest Summit news and happenings, you can subscribe here. IAPP Publications will be covering the event with a team of reporters, and you can expect any number of news items and updates.

Second, the IAPP Events Team is offering, for a very limited time, an extra discount for people who’d like to register now for the IAPP Privacy Academy, to be held in San Jose, CA, September 17 to 19. If you want to grab a spot for that now, you can call Events Assistant Tara Young at +1.603.427.9200, but you’ve got to do it by March 6.

Will the Academy sell out as well? We wouldn’t be surprised. The IAPP events are seeing a large uptick in attendance over the past six months, and we expect that to continue.
