In response to the recent EU high court ruling, Microsoft plans to join Google in rolling out an online takedown form to delink personal information, The New York Times reports. “Developing an appropriate system is taking us some time,” the company said. “We expect to launch a form through which users can make requests soon.” Data protection authorities in the EU plan to meet next week to commence work drafting “procedural guidelines” for handling complaints about search engines’ refusals of takedown requests.
