The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released a draft of its Privacy Risk Management Framework and is now inviting the public to comment on it. The draft report, NISTIR 8062, Privacy Risk Management for Federal Information Systems, “provides the basis for establishing a common vocabulary to facilitate better understanding of—and communication about—privacy risks and the effective implementation of privacy principles in federal information systems,” NIST states on its website. Comments may be sent to privacyeng@nist.gov and until July 13.
