Mercedes Benz’s $12 million, one-of-a-kind “car of tomorrow,” the F 015, will be able to park itself, change lanes, avoid pedestrians, alert passengers when friends are nearby and interact through lasers and touchscreens. It’ll also be able to use an app to turn on the cameras it uses to see the road so that owners can spy on their cars’ surroundings through their phones. “The privacy implications will be huge,” reports Fusion. And, “the next advertising turf war will be in cars,” with the artificial intelligence behind these self-driving cars, which experts describe as “deep learning,” becoming “central to the new ad war,” the report states.
