Accountability is not a new concept in data protection, but times and technology have changed significantly since it first started gaining traction. With the coming technology boom involving sensors and wearables, coupled with today’s advanced analytical capabilities, information use is going to change even more dramatically, writes Peter Cullen, CIPP/US, executive strategist at the International Accountability Foundation.
