Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said the White House is not supporting the Senate Intelligence Committee’s cybersecurity information-sharing bill, The Hill reports. A draft of the bill was expected this week, and Sens. Richard Burr (R-NC) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) have been moving to provide some legal liability protections for businesses sharing threat information with intelligence agencies. “The White House is not a supporter, which is troubling,” Johnson said. Feinstein, however, said, “What’s holding it up is that people need to look at it, talk about it a little, consider the process.”
