About the IAPP

Before co-founding an AI firm cRisk.AI to address contemporary and future enterprise risk challenges, Yuriy founded and led the Security Innovation Lab at Alibaba Cloud, with a primary focus on AI applications in cloud cybersecurity, cyber risk, and AI governance. His passion for AI led to the successful implementation of large-scale responsible AI projects at Akamai and Nominum before joining Alibaba. Yuriy holds patents in the fields of cybersecurity, AI, and smart city infrastructure, and he has authored publications in both professional and scientific journals. Originally trained in computer science for the aerospace industry, he earned an additional graduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
