About the IAPP

Bilal is a Policy Analyst with the Future of Privacy Forum’s (FPF) Global Privacy Team, and is based in New Delhi, India. At FPF, he focuses on analysing the data privacy landscape in India and tracking developments in related policy areas like artificial intelligence regulation and platform governance.

Before joining FPF, Bilal was instrumental in supporting the Office of the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India. He brought his expertise to key areas such as data protection, platform regulation, and online gaming.

Bilal holds an LL.B (Honours) from the University of Edinburgh and is also a 2021 Daksha Technology Law and Policy Fellow.
