Attorney Eija Warma-Lehtinen has worked for Castren & Snellman Attorneys Ltd. since 2005. She heads the firm’s Data Protection & Privacy practice and co-heads the Compliance and & Investigations Service. She is responsible for handling assignments related to data protection, privacy and cyber incidents, and she is one of the few Finnish attorneys specialising exclusively in this field. Warma-Lehtinen's extensive experience, national and international expertise in the field and experience working at the Finnish data protection ombudsman's office make her a well-recognised data protection specialist in Europe.

 

In addition to her studies and law degree at the University of Lapland (Finland), Warma-Lehtinen has also studied law at Tulane Law School in New Orleans and at the University of Minnesota Law School, where she completed an LLM degree. Besides studies, Warma-Lehtinen has also gained practical experience in the U.S. through her work at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP, in Atlanta in autumn 2009. Since 2021, she has worked as a Professor of Practise at University of Lapland.

 

Chambers Europe, Legal 500, Who's Who Internet & e-Commerce, Information Technology and Women in Business Law rank her among Finland's leading legal experts. Finnish technology magazine Tivi listed her as one of the top 100 technology influencers in Finland.
