2B Advice holds a three-day training workshop with CNDP

In January the data protection consulting firm 2B Advice held a three-day training workshop with the Moroccan data protection authority CNDP (La Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des données à caractère personnel). The workshop focused on providing its 20 attendees with an in-depth understanding of European data protection and German data protection law. It also sought to strengthen the CNDP’s ability to consult companies and to ensure legal compliance with both Moroccan laws and European data protection laws. The German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation  (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, GIZ)  organized the event.

Sabine Mersch, a data protection expert, found that in analyzing the legislative materials, Morocco already met Europe’s standards in the most important aspects, and 2B Advice and GIZ indicated they will continue to support Morocco in its effort.
